A little help.
More room.

Answers for a cleaner camera roll, from your first swipe to your next saved video.

How do the swipes work?

Swipe left to set an item aside for deletion. Swipe right to keep it. Undo brings back your last decision. When you’re ready, open the selected-items tray, review your choices, and confirm deletion through iOS.

Is SwipedOut free?

SwipedOut is free to download and includes 25 free Keep or Delete decisions, followed by an optional lifetime unlock for US $0.99 (local prices vary). One payment unlocks unlimited swipes and continued video compression. There is no subscription. Undo and completing a selected deletion batch remain available after the free allowance is used. Demo swipes don’t count.

Previous buyers of version 1.0 keep lifetime access. To restore a purchase, use Browse → Lifetime access → Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy it.

Why hasn’t my free storage changed?

Deleted items first move to Recently Deleted in Photos. You can recover them there for up to 30 days, or permanently remove them yourself to reclaim space sooner. Only permanently delete items you’re sure you no longer need.

The sizes in SwipedOut describe media files. They may differ from the space currently used on your iPhone, especially with iCloud optimization.

Can I delete a photo by mistake?

A left swipe only queues the item. You can undo or return it from the review tray before confirming. After deletion, check Recently Deleted in Photos to recover it while it remains available. With iCloud Photos, deleting an item also syncs that deletion to your other devices.

How do I compress a video?

Open a video in your review deck and tap Compress. Choose a quality setting, compress, then preview the picture and sound. Save a copy before deciding whether to delete the original. Keep SwipedOut open during compression.

Both compression options reduce quality and convert HDR to standard color. Some videos are already efficient and won’t become meaningfully smaller. SwipedOut only lets you save a compressed copy when it saves at least 10% and 100 KB. Preview the actual result before saving.

Why is my compressed copy at the front of Photos?

The copy keeps the original capture date where available. Photos still treats it as newly added. Use a view sorted by Captured to see it with the original; Added or Recently Saved will show it as a new addition.

Why are some photos or file sizes missing?

With limited photo access, SwipedOut only sees the items you selected. Open Browse to choose more photos or change access in iPhone Settings. File sizes may be unknown for originals stored only in iCloud. SwipedOut doesn’t download your whole library just to measure it.

Where do favorites go?

The heart updates the favorite status in your Apple Photos library. You can find those memories again in Favorites in Photos.

Does SwipedOut upload my library?

Media is processed on your device. There is no app account, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics. Apple’s Photos services may retrieve iCloud media for viewing, playback, or compression. Read our privacy policy for details.
